Using our Trello board statistics we made this resource for our midway point presentation. We found that things were not as done as we thought.

> January 26

We had our presentation and Mike gave us some critical feedback to try and refocus. Our game is a bit lifeless and we need to bring the fun back into it. Basically spend less time on details in the textures and more on overall effect as well as having stronger stylisation of the model themselves. We are going to go back and push some of this.

I played with Unreal's landscape tools to try and fix the environment and added trees and sand/grass gradient. It was really laggy when painting so I'm sure I did something really wrong with it. Felt a bit dejected at the end of the lesson about the game project as it's going to take the whole year and I'm not loving it right now. From here on I want to finish assets and be in engine polishing the actual placement and feel of the game.

Worked on the environment with Owen to get some of the assets actually in the scene. Made the grass tile more subtle and played around with overlaying the different scaled gradient type texture I made previously to create variation, looks neat.

Modelled, unwrapped and textured (80%) tribal character. We need to animate them but I really don't want to do it. I tried to load Mixamo but it was just buffering.

> February 16

Today I made and textured the food basket / corn husk model.

Adam reiterated the brief to us and specifically the blog. We had the BTECs playtest the game. We got some feedback from them through a Google form. I worked on the fish banana Chile and drum models.

> March 16

I made a new jungle tree and texture with three variants today. James said there are internships and stuff available at places like Sega Hardlight and I should talk to Frasier or something and Adam was saying how we should be applying to places if nothing just for the experience.

> March 30

Today Adam set an Easter sprint for the game project so that we would all be ready after Easter for a playtest. The tasks I've been set are to populate the scene, put in a stylised skysphere, texture the guns and title screen. And to be at hand for Owen if the characters need retexturing.
